Joshua 2:1-2
Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there. And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, “Behold, men have come here tonight from the children of Israel to search out the country.”
We need to ask ourselves why Joshua send two men to spy the land of Jericho. Simply its to secretly view and examine the place to conquer easily.
Likewise, this tells us spies are secret agents. They are also called monitoring spirits.
That's why we need to take serious on 1 Peter 5:8 that says
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"
Its good to know every kingdom has its own hierarchy. Why? Decisions are taken by the leaders and instructions are passed on to other lower members of the kingdom for execution.
Two kingdoms(God Kingdom and Satan kingdom) are always on operation every time whether day or night. And that's why we as Christians we should control our nights mostly. Unfortunate this hour people are busy snoring on their beds.
Think of Psalm 34:7
"The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them"
The word encamp means to build a camp and observe, monitor, watch, record movements and report.
When God sends angels to encamp around us, devil also delegate’s his spies to monitor and execute his plans and decision over us. These demonic spies(monitoring spirits) spiritually keep watch over our lives looking for loopholes, weaknesses and opportunities so that they can come and carry out demonic oppression and wickedness and that's why its important to seal every spiritual gate with the blood of Jesus Christ.
The scripture speaks extensively about spiritual spies(monitoring spirits) though they are given different names such as:-
Fowlers
Psalm 91:3
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
Hunters
Proverbs 6:5
Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Snares
Hosea 9:8
The watchman of Ephraim iswith my God;
But the prophet is a fowler’s snare in all his ways—
Others names......watchers, besieging army
Like a fowler, they gather all information concerning your life so that whenever they does decide to launch their highly calculated attack that it should be successful at all attacks. This is why the scripture clearly says that only God can deliver us from the snare or trap of the Fowler.
This spiritual spies have aliases such as python spirits, familiar spirits, ancestral spirits, masquerading spirits or watchers. Since we were born, these monitoring spirits are there to check the status of our life and make sure that we never fulfill the purpose and plan that God has for our life. None of these spirits can actually read our mind, since God is the only one who is omniscient, so they can only gain information by watching us or hearing it from you or others around you.
ITS WISE TO KNOW WHO ARE YOUR FRIENDS Why? You could have people in your life that are just there gathering information so that they can work against you or pass it on to others who will work against you. Working against your future, your children, your ministry, your finances, your business, your marriage and even your health. Whatever it may be, they are not there for your good.
They are always wanting to know everything you are doing. Be warned!! Keep tabs on your progress.
Monitoring spirits accompany spirits of jealousy and spirits of control/ manipulation. When monitoring spirits accompany spirits of jealousy, envy and sabotage are soon to follow. Just because the enemy is uncomfortable, does not mean that the enemy can thwart the plan of God. The spirit of jealousy can cause insecurities in the heart of the believer, which can delay kingdom advancement.
It’s impossible to reason with a jealous person, do not feel pressured to explain yourself to a person led by a monitoring spirit/jealous spirit. YOU WILL ONLY BE ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE AND FEEDING THAT SPIRIT INFORMATION CONCERNING YOUR LIFE.

We should be wise like King David whom realized King Saul was monitoring him inorder to kill him. Its high time we wake up and control our nights. The devil has different agents who can cause havoc in your walk with God. This spies can also be people around you. We should also cover our dreams with the blood of Jesus since that's the area that this spies uses perfectly to attack. Don’t take this spies lightly rather wake up and give them the prayer bullet to kill them. Once they kill your prayer life then forget holy walk.
LET THE PRAYER WARRIORS ARISE
