CARNALITY IN THE CHURCH

Its the hour that we need to be watchful and being ready especially for the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ. Infact the time is almost over. Its the hour that the church should be preparing herself for the glorious coming of her Bridegroom, however the church is busy fighting each other.

Have seen it in today's current Holiness ministries where there is no LOVE, ONENESS, PEACE AND UNITY. This has paved way for Satan to attack through weapon of division. The church is no longer under guidance of the precious Holy Spirit but under carnality.

Apostle Paul rebuked the church of Corinthians about being carnal. 

1 Corinthians 3:3-4

for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

Its the same situation happening today. Some fight others saying i am of the glorious ministry under The Prophet of the LORD Owour, Am of the Deeper life under Kumuyi, am of this servant so and so.....that's being carnal and not being led by the Spirit.

Whatever the Prophet of the LORD Owour, Pastor Kumuyi and other servants have planted in our lives, its only God who gives the increase. Whoever plants and waters are one but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

1 Corinthians 3:5-9

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building

. 

Yes, they are God's workers in the vineyard and we are God's field therefore CARNALITY should not be mentioned among us.

What is the essence of fighting your fellow brother and sister whom your walking in the same direction......CARNALITY. 

Its because of carnality that the disciples of Jesus wanted to confront another disciple whom was casting demons in the name of Jesus and whom never followed them but Jesus rebuked them. 

Luke 9:49-50

Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.”

But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side.”

Its because of carnality that most Christians don't know how God speaks to them. Do you know how God speaks to you?

God speaks in different ways. Yes, He speaks in different ways and in His own way for His own Glory. He speaks to His children that they may be edified. 

Then what's is the essence of fighting a brother or sister who has just posted what the LORD Has spoken to him/her? ITS CALLED CARNALITY.

This should not result insults and fights. No servant is greater than the other since were are called differently but under our LORD Jesus Christ as the Head.

Ephesians 4:11-15

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ

Brethren, we should be perfectly joined together in the same mind. Christ Jesus is not divided and where there is division there is NO REVIVAL

1 Corinthians 1:10-13

Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.  Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Don't let CARNALITY defile your spiritual garment but work out your salvation with fear and trembling( Philippians 2:12). None of the servants died for you.

Let's be led by the Spirit and not carnality. Fighting and insulting a brethren is hatred. Whoever hates his brother is a lier and also Hatred is murder

1 John 3:15

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him

1 John 4:20

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

WALK IN THE SPIRIT NOT CARNALITY
