DESIRE TO BE GREAT IN HEAVEN NOT HERE ON EARTH

Have you ever desired to be great in heaven? Imagine yourself seated next to Abraham, David, Jacob, Elijah, Moses and Apostle Paul.

I mean being recognized in heaven and being called Great faithful servant because of the great work you did for the LORD.

Well, that has always been my desire. What of you?

Have always been amazed by most Christians. They don't know that we are just a piece of clay that can be crashed anytime. Why? Life is a mystery therefore death knocks unexpected or perhaps rapture may occur unexpected.

Many have desired to be great on earth and forgot to invest in the eternity. The god of this world has blinded them totally and are now worshiping mammon.

Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

2 Corinthians 4:4
whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them

Being great or rich in the world is not being great or rich in heaven. This is because greatness and riches are not qualities of a heaven candidate.

Solomon full of wisdom said everything is vanity

Ecclesiastes 1:1-2
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
 “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher;
“Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”

Because of his wisdom and knowledge( 2 Chronicles 1:10) he became great, very rich and his fame grew all over the world.

2 Chronicles 1:10-12
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”
Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who werebefore you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

2 Chronicles 9:1-2
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to Jerusalem to test Solomon with hard questions, having a very great retinue, camels that bore spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart. So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for Solomon that he could not explain it to her.

Later, he misused what God gave him and his fame and greatness led him to idolatry and married many wives who destroyed his zeal for God. ( Read 1 Kings 11). No where in the Bible that Solomon repented. So, What a great loss?

Are you the Solomon of today? Use what God has given you wisely for His own gory or else perish like Solomon.

Samson, became great and fame because of his strength but he forgot to fight the spirit of Delilah.

Judges 16:1
Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her.

Later He pleaded for God to restore the strength back to revenge.

Judges 16:28-30
Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life

Are you the Samson of today? Who can't resist the spirit of Delilah?

Being Great in heaven requires one to take his/her own cross and run the race with faith. Even though the race is full of persecution, pains, rejection and challenges one must endure like apostle Paul.

Matthew 5:10-12
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,  For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 10: 38
And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

What you sow is what will determine your  reward. Get that right!!

Many servants have big cathedrals here on the earth. They are so famous, full of riches and have fallen to the god of this world. They started perfectly but have deviated from the true service of God.

When they slept(spiritual slumber) the enemy came and sowed tares among their vineyard. They have neglected the gospel of the old rugged cross and have turned to prosperity gospel.

According to them, greatness of the world is better for them than being called a Faithful great servant in heaven.

Only they want is competition of power, money, owning luxurious mansionates,  jets, luxurious cars and to have big cathedrals and with their smooth words to feed their stomach...run from this servants and their churches

Romans 16:18
For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

The fire of the Holy Ghost has been quenched in their churches, evangelism, righteousness and holiness  has become a dead corpse.

What a wicked generation?

A time is coming when we shall all face before the creator before the seat of judgement. What shall you say? It shall be a day of separation and also a day of rewards

Matthew 13:49-50
So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth

Revelation 22:12
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Many shall be called Great faithful servants and others will be thrown in the lake of fire where their shall wailing and gnashing teeth.

Its my prayer we invest in the Kingdom of God than in the world. Let's desire to be great in heaven where the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their God

Matthew 13:43
Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

I can't wait that day to receive my reward and to hear beautiful words "WELCOME SON, MY

FAITHFUL SERVANT" and seat next to Apostle Paul, Elijah and Moses.
